Fast Fact:  The largest of all primates, gorillas are peaceful, family-oriented, plant-eating animals. They live in the tropical rain forests in “troops” which can range from 5-30 members.  An adult male will eat up to 40 pounds of food each day so they have to move daily to a new area where food is plentiful.  Although they have no natural enemies they are very endangered because of humans hunting for “bushmeat” and logging companies destroying their habitat.
